Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for purifying a stream including 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane, comprising the steps of i) providing a stream A comprising 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane and at least one of the compounds selected from the group consisting of 2-chloro-1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane, 1,2-dichloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene; ii) purification, preferably by distillation, of the stream A provided in i) in order to form a first stream Acomprising 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane, preferably recovered at the top of the distillation column, and a second stream Acomprising said at least one of the compounds selected from the group consisting of 2-chloro-1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane, 1,2-dichloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 2-chloro-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, preferably recovered at the bottom of the distillation column.
