Abstract

An air filtering and treatment apparatus (), the apparatus () including: a housing () having an air inlet (), an air outlet (), an air passageway () between the inlet () and outlet (), and a fan () arranged to urge air through the air passageway () between the air inlet () and the air outlet (), wherein the housing () includes filter () arranged to filter air passing through the air passageway (), and a receptacle () located toward the air outlet () relative to filter (). The receptacle () is adapted to hold treatment composition () such that an evaporable vapour associated with the treatment composition () is able to accumulate in a headspace () of the receptacle (), the headspace () including at least one aperture (). The air passageway () may be shaped such that air flows substantially perpendicularly past the at least one aperture () of the receptacle () such that a pre-determined amount of the evaporable vapour is entrained into the filtered air released from the air outlet (). A system () and method are also disclosed.
