Abstract
A capacitive proximity sensorcomprises an oscillation means; a sensor circuit, which includes a sensor electrode; a detection circuit, which outputs a determination voltage signal corresponding to the capacitance of the sensor electrode, based on the electrical signal output from the sensor circuit; and a control unit. The sensor electrodeis connected in parallel to a connection point Pbetween a coil L and a capacitor C in an LCR series resonance circuit. The detection circuitoutputs a determination voltage signal Sbased on the electrical signal at the detection point Pbetween the capacitor C and the resistor R. The control unitdetects the proximity of a human body to the sensor electrode, based on the determination voltage signal S.
