Abstract

A cloud-based analytics medical system comprises a processor, a memory, an input/output interface to access data from medical hub communication devices, each coupled to a surgical instrument, and a database to store the data. The processor aggregates patient outcome data from the medical hubs. Patient outcome data comprises data pertaining to steps performed and corresponding timings for each step in patient procedures, to an outcome of each patient procedure performed, and to medical resources used in the patient procedures. Patient outcome data comprises location data describing which medical facility the medical resource was allocated to and data indicating whether the outcome was a success or failure. The processor aggregates medical resource acquisition data from the medical hubs, determines correlation between positive outcomes and the resource acquisition data, generates medical recommendations based on the correlation, and causes display of medical recommendations to medical hubs located at different medical facilities.
