Abstract

An information processing apparatusis configured to include a selection unitconfigured to select a storage device to be moved from a first place associated with a first storage device to a second place associated with a second storage device connected with the first storage device over a network, based on travel informationincluding the origin and the destination of the storage device. The storage device is selected as a third storage device to be used for storing transport target data stored in the first storage device and transporting the data to the second storage device.
