Abstract

A battery cell () has electrodes (), an electrolyte () and a housing () surrounding the electrodes () and the electrolytes (). The housing () is composed of a plurality of housing components () adhesively bonded to one another by an adhesive composite () along opposite abutment faces (). The adhesive composite () has a first adhesive composite component () which is interposed between the opposite abutment faces () and which is resistant and impermeable to the electrolyte (); a second adhesive composite component () which is over regions of the two housing components () adjacent to the first adhesive composite component (), and which is composed of a cured material; and a third adhesive composite component () which is over regions of the two housing components () adjacent to the second adhesive composite component () and which is impermeable to water and/or oxygen.
