Abstract

A nonaqueous electrolyte includes a lithium salt, a trifluoropropionate ester of the formula (1), and a fluorinated carboxylate ester of the formula (2). The amount of (1) is not less than 10 mass % of the nonaqueous electrolyte. In the formulae, R1 is a Calkyl group, one or two of X1 to X4 are fluorine atoms, R2 is a hydrogen atom, a Calkyl group or a fluorinated Calkyl group, and R3 is a Calkyl group or a fluorinated Calkyl group.
