Abstract
A method for determining information on a position of an object, the object emitting a magnetic field in response to an exciting electromagnetic field comprises monitoring () a receive signal of at least one loop antenna, the receive signal having a contribution caused by the emitted magnetic field; determining a first quadrature component () of the receive signal; and determining the information on the position of the object () based on the first quadrature component.
