Abstract
A printing deviceincludes a platen rollerwhich feeds a thermal tape, a thermal headwhich performs printing on the thermal tape, a half cutterwhich performs a half cut on the thermal tape, and a control circuit. After the half cut is performed, the control circuitcontrols the platen rollerto feed in a backward direction opposite to a direction of ejecting the thermal tapeinto an outlet until a printing start area of the thermal tapereaches a head position of the thermal head. The thermal headperforms printing on the thermal tapeafter the printing start area reaches the head position by the feeding of the thermal tapein the backward direction.
