Compounds and methods involving inhibition of the enzymatic activity of QSOX1 (FIG.). The compounds and methods can be used in treatment of neoplastic cells, for example, to suppress tumor growth and invasion in a variety of cancers, including but not limited to myeloma and cancers of the breast, kidney, and pancreas.
