Abstract
To address static electricity on a flat panel display device and to implement a narrow frame of the flat panel display device. A liquid crystal display device () includes a counter substrate (), a TFT substrate (), and an upper polarizer (). The TFT substrate () includes a terminal portion () projecting more outward than the edge of a counter substrate (), and a ground pad () disposed on a surface of the terminal portion (), the surface being on the side closer to the counter substrate (). The upper polarizer () includes a pad facing portion () that overlaps the ground pad () at a position more outward than the edge of the counter substrate (). The liquid crystal display device () further includes an electrically conductive member () filled in the gap between the ground pad () and the pad facing portion ().
