Abstract
An inner shaft of a steering device and an outer shaft thereof are provided so as to be movable relative to each other via a movement mechanism along an axial line. The inner shaft includes a first abutting member and a second abutting member which are disposed along the axial line and which have different hardness. The outer shaft includes a torque transmitting portion which abuts either the first abutting member or the second abutting member only upon operation given to the movement mechanism, and which is capable of transmitting torque with either the one abutting member only. The movement mechanism includes a movement mechanism main body which is provided on the main pipe and which moves along the axial line.
