Abstract

The disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). A method of operating a terminal in a wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method includes detecting one or more states associated with antennas arranged in the terminal, activating a first antenna, among the antennas, based on the one or more states associated with antennas and deactivating a second antenna, among the antennas, based on the one or more states associated with the antennas.
