Abstract
An insulating strip () connects profiles () of a composite profile () for doors, windows or façade elements. The insulating strip () includes a strip body () composed of an insulating material and extending in a longitudinal direction (z). A roll-in head () is formed at a longitudinal edge of the strip body (). The roll-in head () has a cross-sectional shape in a plane (x-y) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (z) suitable for insertion into the roll-in groove (). A metal sheet () having surface variations () covers at least a portion of a surface () of the roll-in head ().
