Abstract
Disclosed is a composition including (per 100% weight): a) 90 wt.-% to 99.0 wt.-% water including, in dissolved form, 0.002 mol/L to 0.1 mol/L of at least one salt of ammonium cation or of a monovalent or multivalent metal cation with an organic or inorganic anion; b) 0.5 wt.-% to 5 wt.-% of a crosslinked anionic polyelectrolyte; and c) 0.5 wt.-% to 5 wt.-% of a compound having formula (II): R—(O—CH—CH)—OH (II), where the weight ratio of the crosslinked anionic polyelectrolyte to the compound of formula (II) is greater than or equal to 0.2 and less than or equal to 2.0, and the molar ratio of the compound of formula (II) to the salt greater than or equal to 0.05 and less than or equal to 1. Also disclosed is a composition in cosmetics and a method for lightening the thickened salt-rich composition.
