Abstract
The invention concerns a protection device () for protecting an optical sensor () for a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the protection device () comprises: —a transparent optical element () mounted rotatably movable about an axis of rotation (A), configured to be arranged upstream from an optical unit () of the optical sensor () such that the axis of rotation (A) of same coincides with the optical axis (), and —a motor () comprising a rotary shaft () configured to rotate about an axis of rotation (A), and configured to rotate said optical element () such that the axis of rotation (A) of said optical element () further coincides with the axis of rotation (A) of the rotary shaft () of the motor (). The invention also concerns a corresponding driver assistance system () and a cleaning method implementing such a protection device ().
