Abstract

A login management sectionallows a user to log in to an information processing apparatus. A status management sectionmanages the status of the information processing apparatus. A change instruction acceptance sectionaccepts an instruction for change from a server. When the user has logged in to the information processing apparatusthat in turn has signed in to a service, the status management sectionmanages the information processing apparatusin either an active status or a listen status. The active status is a status in which the information processing apparatusis in an online state and allowed to use the service, and the listen status is a status in which the information processing apparatusis in an offline state that disables game execution and is allowed to use the service.
