Abstract

A component () for a medical instrument includes a shaft (), a transmission device (), which is movable in the shaft (), for transmitting a force from a manipulation device () coupled to the proximal end of the component () to a tool () at the distal end of the component (), an abutment surface () on the shaft (), and an abutment surface () on the transmission device (). The abutment surface () of the shaft () and the abutment surface () of the transmission device () are arranged such that a mechanical contact between the abutment surface () of the transmission device () and the abutment surface () of the shaft () limits a movement of the transmission device () relative to the shaft () in the proximal direction.
