Abstract
A flyback converter () for operating one or more lighting means, wherein the flyback converter () has a transformer and the transformer is arranged between a primary side of the flyback converter () and a secondary side of the flyback converter (), wherein the flyback converter () is configured, and wherein the flyback converter () has a current detection circuit () that is configured to detect the current flowing through the secondary side of the flyback converter (). The current detection circuit () can have a current detection transformer (). The flyback converter () can be configured such that the current flowing through the secondary side of the flyback converter () flows in a negative direction at least some of the time.
