Abstract
A rubber composition is based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a vulcanizing system and a plasticizing system, said reinforcing filler predominantly comprising, by weight, a silica with a very high specific surface area, with a CTAB specific surface area greater than 170 m/g, and said plasticizing system comprising at least more than 15 phr (parts by weight per hundred parts by weight of elastomer) of a hydrocarbon resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) between −40° C. and 20° C.
