Abstract

A dust boot () for an articulated transmission joint has a tulip () presenting an open end () and an opposite end designed to be secured to a first shaft (), a second shaft (), and rolling bearing means () mounted on an end () of the second shaft (). The bearing means () has rolling elements () housed in a cage (). The dust boot () includes a groove () suitable for receiving at least some of the rolling elements during an inclined movement of the second shaft () towards an outlet of the tulip, and a shoulder () separated from the groove () by a peripheral wall () that co-operates with the shoulder () to define a housing suitable for receiving a portion of the cage () of the bearing means () when the cage () is in abutment against the shoulder ().
