Abstract
A system for removing SOfrom a flue gas is provided. The system includes a conduit and an injector. The conduit is operative to define a flow path of the flue gas. The injector is operative to inject at least one gaseous state alkali-containing species into the conduit at an injection point. The temperature of the flue gas at the injection point is above the condensation temperature of sulfuric acid.
