A foreign material adhesion preventing device () that is mounted on a camera main body () having an image capturing surface () exposed to external surroundings for preventing foreign material from adhering to the image capturing surface () has a cover () having a cover member () configured to cover the image capturing surface () and a nozzle () for spraying a fluid towards an outer surface () of the cover member (). This can provide the highly versatility foreign material adhesion preventing device () that can prevent foreign material from adhering directly to the image capturing surface () of the camera main body ().
