Abstract
The invention relates to an airbag () for an automotive vehicle () comprising an airbag fabric () forming at least one airbag wall () and an elongate flexible tether () for positioning the airbag () in its deployed state which extends from a first tether end () associated with the airbag fabric () to an opposite second tether end (), wherein at the first tether end () the tether () is tightly sewn to the airbag fabric () by a fastening seam () and wherein the airbag fabric () includes a fabric reinforcing seam () which encloses at least part of the fastening seam (). The invention further relates to a method of mounting a tether () on the airbag fabric ().
