Abstract

A method for attaching an object, such as a sight glass () or an electrical connector (), to a structure, such as a valve housing (), the object () comprising an annular flange (). The object () is mounted in an opening () of the structure () with the annular flange () in abutment with an annular edge () of the opening (). The object () is attached to the structure () by performing welding of the annular edge () and the annular flange () and displacing the welding beam along the annular flange ().
