Abstract

A navigational information display device is provided, which may include a display configured to display a navigational image indicated using a geometrical figure related to first navigational information, and further display one or more characters selected from the group consisting of a first navigational information character indicative of the first information, a second navigational information character indicative of second navigational information, and a device operation character related to operation of the display device, and processing circuitry configured to receive input of an instruction signal to instruct a change in a display orientation of the screen, and to change a display orientation of at least one of the one or more characters while maintaining a display orientation of the navigational image when the input of the instruction signal is received.
