Abstract

A holding apparatus () for a vehicle has a first element () attachable to the vehicle (), a second element () movably connected with the first element () via a bearing mechanism, an image capture unit (A,B) attached to the second element () and configured to capture a capture area around the vehicle (), and a signal unit () configured to detect the position of the first element () relative to the second element (). The signal unit () has a signal device () adapted to output a signal (S) and a signal transmitter () configured to operate the signal device () dependent on a position of the first element () to the second element () such that it outputs a signal (S).
