Abstract
A vehicle control device () includes: a detection device having a detection area in an advancement direction of a vehicle; and a crossing recognizer () determining whether or not a concave part extending in a direction intersecting the advancement direction is present on the basis of an output of the detection device and recognizing presence of a crossing in the advancement direction of the vehicle in a case in which a concave part is determined as being present.
