Abstract

A position detection system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of fixed stations; and a sensor unitincluding an inertial sensor that detects movement history of a mobile bodyand a distance sensor that detects separation distances between the mobile bodyand the fixed stations. A position of the mobile bodyis determined by detecting a first arrival position Pobtained based on the movement history, a second arrival position Pobtained based on the separation distances, and a relative distance Lbetween the first arrival position Pand the second arrival position P, and by comparing a range value Robtained based on the movement history with the relative distance L. The range value Ris changed based on the movement history.
