Abstract
An igniteractivated blocking deviceblocks a fluid lineadapted to carry fluid. The blocking devicehas a housingdisposed about the fluid line, a pistonhoused in the housing, and an igniterthat when activated propels the pistonto block the fluid line. The ignitergenerates a shock wave to move the pistonto block the line. The pistoncrushes or squeezes a portion of the lineto close the line.
