Abstract
A polarizer that can realize the multi-functionalization and high-functionalization of an electronic device, such as an image display apparatus. A polarizerincluding a resin film containing a dichromatic substance, wherein the polarizer has a low dichromatic substance concentration portion whose content of the dichromatic substance is relatively low in the resin film. The low dichromatic substance concentration portionis brought into contact with an acidic solution. The low dichromatic substance concentration portion corresponds to a camera portion of an image display apparatus on which the polarizer is mounted.
