Abstract

Compositions for detectingnucleic acids. Particularly described are compositions for detecting West Nile virus nucleic acids in the 3' non-coding region. These compositions are preferably oligonucleotides comprising nucleotide sequences that are substantially complementary to a West Nile virus target nucleic acid. These compositions preferably comprise a detectable moiety.
