Abstract
In order to be capable of reliably supplying a prescribed amount of fiber materials into a heating cylinder for each cycle and continuously manufacturing a homogeneous composite material, a plasticizing unit is provided with a fiber supply devicethat supplies prescribed amount of fiber materials Ahaving a prescribed length into the heating cylinder. The fiber supply deviceis provided with: a cutting sectionthat cuts off a long fiber material Apulled out from a reelinto a prescribed length; a pressure-feeding sectionthat presses the fiber materials Ahaving the prescribed length cut off by the cutting sectioninto the heating cylinder; and a fiber transfer devicethat forcibly transfers the fiber materials Aaccumulated in the cutting sectionto the pressure-feeding section. The pressure-feeding sectionis constituted by a press cylinderand a press piston, and the fiber transfer deviceis constituted by a vacuum device.
