Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). Disclosed is a method of operating a proxy device in a communication system. The method includes: receiving information on at least one domain name from an external server; generating connection information on the at least one domain name; receiving a domain name system (DNS) query message including one of the at least one domain name from a client device; and establishing a connection to a server corresponding to the domain name included in the DNS query message based on the connection information.
