A frequency dependent piston assembly () for a shock absorber comprising: a piston () disposed within a portion of cylinder (), dividing volume enclosed within said portion of cylinder () into a first chamber () and a second chamber (), said piston () comprising a first flow channel () connecting said first chamber () and said second chamber (); characterized in that said piston assembly () further comprises: a first fluid accumulator (); a first fluid channel () connecting said first fluid accumulator () with the side of said piston () closest to said first accumulator (); a first valve assembly () controlling the passage of fluid () from said first chamber () to said second chamber (), said first valve assembly () being configured in such a way that its preload force is controlled by said first fluid accumulator ().
