Abstract

Provided is a method of treating or preventing adenovirus and enterovirus infection by administering an antiviral composition that contains anextract, aextract, or combinations thereof. The antiviral composition blocks adenoviruses and enterovirus infection through virucidal activity against adenovirus and inhibition of adenovirus and enterovirus attachment to and penetration into cells. Also provided is a method of preparing the antiviral composition.
