Abstract

Provided is an Internet of things (IoT) gateway to which it is possible to input access information for accessing a router without an additional input device and display device. The IoT gateway includes a wide area network (WAN) port monitoring portion; an operating mode determiner configured to determine an operating mode; a smart device access portion; a router access portion; and a service provider configured to, when the router access portion accesses the target router, transfer status messages acquired from one or more IoT devices to the target router, or receive control commands for the one or more IoT devices from the target router and transfer the control commands to the corresponding IoT devices.
