Abstract

Provided is a nickel material having excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, and a method for manufacturing the nickel material. A nickel material has a chemical composition consisting of, in mass %, C: 0.001 to 0.20%, Si: 0.15% or less, Mn: 0.50% or less, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.010% or less, Cu: 0.10% or less, Mg: 0.15% or less, Ti: 0.005 to 1.0%, Nb: 0.040 to 1.0%, Fe: 0.40% or less, sol.
