Abstract

A hybrid electroslag cladding method includes the steps of: providing a workpiece () to be cladded; guiding a strip electrode () onto the surface of the workpiece (); cladding the strip electrode () onto the surface of the workpiece () using electroslag cladding; guiding a metal cored hybrid electroslag cladding wire () into the weld puddle () of the strip electrode () for controlling the chemical composition of the cladding.
