Abstract
A communication disabled time during a network failure can be shortened. An SWcapable of generating a layerpacket from a received layerframe and transmitting the generated layerpacket includes: a plurality of portswhich is capable of transmitting and receiving data; a layerring processing unitwhich detects a failure of a networkconnected via the portsand a VXLAN processing unitwhich generates a plurality of layerpackets from one layerframe received via the portswhen the failure of the networkis detected by the layerring processing unitand transmits the generated plurality of layerpackets to a network via the plurality of ports
