A galvanic isolation in the power electronics system of an electricity charging station having the following features: a rectifier () for connection of the charging station () to a public low-voltage network and a galvanically isolating DC voltage converter () having a high clock frequency and connected to the rectifier () and a corresponding electricity charging station.
