Abstract

The invention relates to a method for assisting driving, characterized in that it comprises steps of: —determination () of a proposal of change of lane, requiring a first validation, —determination () of a proposal of change of speed, requiring a second validation, —determination of a validation time (') corresponding to a maximum time remaining to the driver, after the validation of the proposal of change of lane, to validate the proposal of change of speed, —if () the validation time (′) is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold then the cancellation () of the proposal of change of lane.
