Abstract
The invention relates to a setting system () for a timepiece or piece of jewelry (). Said system includes: —a setting mounting ();—a precious stone () mounted in or on the setting mounting (); and—a resilient element () attached to the setting mounting () so as to flexibly connect the setting mounting () to said piece (). The resilient element () has a stiffness between 1.2×10N/m and 1.4 N/m×10, and the combined mass of the setting mounting () and the precious stone () is between 3×10g and 4×10g such that the setting mounting () can be oscillated and maintained by movements of the wearer of the piece (). And when oscillating, the setting mounting () oscillates according to an axial and/or radial movement relative to an axis () of symmetry at an oscillation frequency between 1 Hz and 30 Hz.
