Abstract

An autostereoscopic display includes a steerable display backlight, having a light output arrangement for providing lines of light output and a first lenticular lens array, with each lens focused near a corresponding line of light output. A display panel is illuminated by the backlight and a second lenticular array generates at least two views to different viewing directions.
