Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for operating a base station in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment includes determining interference between symbols of a signal received from at least one terminal, determining a time offset of the received signal based on the determined interference, and determining a detection interval of the signal received from the at least one terminal based on the time offset.
