Abstract
An organic EL display device () according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an organic EL element () formed on a flexible substrate () and a thin film encapsulation structure () formed on the organic EL element (). The thin film encapsulation structure () includes a first inorganic barrier layer (), an organic barrier layer () in contact with the first inorganic barrier layer (), and a second inorganic barrier layer () in contact with the organic barrier layer (). The organic barrier layer () is present on at least a part of a flat portion, and a surface of the organic barrier layer () is oxidized. A method for producing the organic EL display device () in an embodiment includes the step of asking the organic barrier layer.
