Abstract
An illumination control unit selectively turns on strobe devices and a strobe light emitting unit. An image acquisition unit captures an image of an object through an imaging element and acquires individual illumination images. An individual irradiation area detection unit detects individual irradiation areas which are areas irradiated with each illumination light component in the imaging range of the imaging element on the basis of the individual illumination images. An irradiation area image generation unit generates an irradiation area image obtained by inserting division marks indicating each individual irradiation area into the image of the object. An irradiation area image output unit displays the irradiation area image on a rear display unit. The user observes the irradiation area image and can simply recognize each individual irradiation area.
