Abstract
The invention relates to a photoplethysmography device () of the reflectance type, comprising a light source (), a light sensor (), and an interface layer (). The interface layer () has a recess between the source () and the sensor () in order to prevent reflection losses between the device () and the skin and to prevent that light from the source () can reach the sensor () directly via the interface layer ().
