Abstract
A device () for editing an electronic medical record (EMR) is provided. The device includes a mobile device () including a touch-sensitive display (), a communication link (), and at least one electronic processor () programmed to cause the mobile device to perform an EMR data entry method. The method includes: displaying a medical document () on the touch-sensitive display: overlaying an EMR data entry fillable form () having user-editable fields () on the touch-sensitive display as a partially transparent overlay () superimposed on the displayed medical document; transferring text content () from the medical document into at least one of the user-editable fields of the overlaid EMR data entry fillable form; and after filling out the overlaid EMR data entry fillable form by operations including at least the transferring, uploading at least the content of the user-editable fields of the filled out EMR data entry fillable form to an EMR () via the wireless communication link.
