Abstract

An elastomer spring () for a vehicle () includes a cylindrical body () adapted to be disposed within a coil spring () of the vehicle () and extend axially between a first component () and a second component () of the vehicle (), the second component () being spaced from and moveable toward the first component () along an axis of the coil spring (). The body () has a height greater than a width thereof and a plurality of apertures () spaced about the body (), wherein the apertures () are configured to allow the coil spring () to compress axially for absorbing energy as one of the first component () and the second component () move along the axis.
